Terms of use
Effective 2026-10-11
These terms apply to Ethereum City (“the site”, https://ethereum-city.com), an unofficial fan project run by an individual in the Republic of Korea. By using the site you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose; the Korean version is the original.
1. What the site is
- The site shows the Ethereum ecosystem (L1 and L2 chains, tokens) as a 3D city, with a newspaper, a weather view and small games. It is free and made for information and fun.
- It is not investment advice. Building heights, weather, forecasts and rankings are made from public data and simple rules; they can be late, wrong or missing. Never make a financial decision based on the city alone.
- The site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Ethereum Foundation or any chain, token or company shown. Names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify them.
2. Using the site
- No sign-up is needed. Becoming a citizen, writing in guestbooks, linking a wallet and the forecast game are optional.
- Your citizen card (number and secret token) lives in your browser. Keep the citizen code to yourself: anyone who has it can act as that citizen. If you lose it, the operator can issue a new one on request.
- You may not use automated tools to flood the site, scrape it heavily or interfere with it, and you may not try to access other people’s citizen records.
3. What you post (guestbooks, house intros, billboard words)
- You are responsible for what you post. Do not post advertising or promotion, links, contact details or wallet addresses, invitations to invest or trade, abuse, hate or harassment, other people’s personal information, or anything illegal. Some of these are filtered automatically; the rest are reviewed by the operator.
- The operator may hide, edit or delete posts and billboard words, and may delete a citizen who repeatedly breaks these rules, without notice.
- You keep the rights to what you write, and you allow the site to show it to other visitors for as long as it stays posted. District guestbooks keep only the latest 60 posts and house guestbooks the latest 30.
4. Bricks, points and ranks
- Bricks, forecast points, ranks and house sizes are play values inside the site. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, exchanged or refunded, and may be reset or changed if the rules of the game change or a bug is fixed.
5. Data, availability and liability
- The city reads public data sources (block explorers, price and TVL services, RPC nodes). When they are late or down, the city shows simulated or stale values and says so.
- The service may change, pause or end at any time. The operator may also delete citizen records and posts after a long period of inactivity or if the service ends.
- The site is provided “as is”, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses that come from using the site, from errors in its data, or from interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Korean law.
6. Copyright
- The design, text and code of the site belong to the operator unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page and quote short passages with a credit. Copying the whole site or its newspaper for another service needs permission.
7. Privacy
- How personal information is handled is described in the privacy policy.
8. Governing law and changes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the court with jurisdiction over the operator’s address, unless the law says otherwise.
- When the terms change, the date and what changed are recorded here. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
- Questions: contact page.
